I love his pose. Who’s Line is one of the funnier shows on television, and Greg does a really great job on it. Plus he has an awesome name.
That’s pretty cool that you just happened to run into him at the airport. It’s too bad that Whose Line suffered from bad marketing after a few years, but its nice that ABC continues to see its potential and orders more episodes every so often.
ABC hasn’t ordered any new episodes in years.
What happened was Whos Line was a major show on the ABC network for some time. Back when it was big the Writers Guild was threatening to go on strike, thus meaning no new shows for the Fall line up, and Nielson raitings. Since Whos Line didn’t have writers, they ordered a but load of episodes. These episodes were enough to cary the channel through the fall season every night of the week. Well, turns out that the Writers Guild didn’t strike, leaving ABC with a ton of in-the-can episodes that never were shown, even after they stopped making new episodes (and after they dropped the show from the ABC line up). Now even once-in-a-while ABC Family will pick up some new episodes to air to pull in the raitings (but we won’t go there with ABC Family and Eisner’s whole buying spree there…)
Greg mentioned there was some “bad blood” between a few of the regulars so they quit doing the show, now they all just go out for drinks every now and then. He also said they all get along great now. He talked to us for probably 10 minutes or so, nobody else recognized him.
Lucky!!! Whose Line is it Anyway is one of my favorite shows of all-time on TV! I can’t believe ABC was just being so lame about cancelling the shows (and the bad blood involved)! Then again Drew Carey creates a lot of bad blood! I would like for them to do the show with Clive Anderson hosting the show again! Those were the days.
And it would be interesting to know if he is a FIRST-supporter/come out to one of these regionals or Atlanta as a surprise guest.
We just randomly saw him at LAX, he didn’t even know what FIRST was until we told him.
