A look at divisions by the numbers… blue banners, FRC Top 25 teams, 1 ranked teams at regional and districts, distribution of max OPR, rotor bonuses, and kPa bonuses all by divisions.

Hit me up with any questions!

Will be doing this for St. Louis too!

Awesome! What is the scale for the top 25 bar graphs?

Really cool analysis: what program did you use the get the data?

I use Tableau to visualize. All the data was pulled off of TBA or through divisions.co

And for the FRC Top 25 it is any team voted into the FRC Top 25 by week that FIRST Updates now does ie.) here as an example

Sorry, I meant that I can’t see how many teams were in the Top 25 for each division. Could just be my display, however.

Oh LOL sorry my bad!

Re-counted… These are correct now.

Carver: 10
Galileo: 5
Hopper: 8
Newton: 12
Roeling: 9
Turing: 5

I will try to update the live viz - done!

Roebling isn’t the gear division I thought it was…

These add up to 25 total teams.

Does this mean you are only using one of the FRCTop25 results, e.g., the latest? Since each set of FRCTop25 results only includes teams that competed the weekend before, no set of FRCTop25 results is comprehensive across all events. Furthermore, many of the best teams are not being noticed - including 3238 who has had a whopping 6.52 contribution to gears scored yet somehow has never been in the FRCTop25.

or any PNW team this year for that matter

I find it quite interesting that the division with the most #1 ranks (and most top 25 teams) has the least number of blue banners. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out for Newton.

Still no clue how these got skewed counted by hand…

Carver: 10
Galileo: 5
Hopper: 8
Newton: 12
Roeling: 9
Turing: 5

The gear OPR data is rather skewed. For instance, it says we only do 2.5 teleop gears per match, but we’ve basically done at least 3 a match, usually 4-5.

Quick question, does the total kPa or rotor bonus points account for differences in the number of matches played by teams across divisions? Or, has the data been normalized.

Is it possible for someone to run that OPR bar graph with CCWM?
We have much higher CCWM ranks!

If someone sends me the CCWM Max for each team in HOU
