I hope we pass! :stuck_out_tongue:

Worst inspector… EVER.

Haha, are you inspecting this year too or will you be with 171 as a mentor? Trust me, we’ve had much worse inspector experiences. We almost didn’t compete in 07 because we had the CIM’s wired through 30 amp breakers instead of the 40’s with the brass breaker box. Thankfully, a local team grabbed one from 06.

Lol, the sticker has amazingly survived the trashing of a regional, an off season, and several demos.

Andrew- I hope you will be back to inspect this year, even if you are with 171. With two regionals, we are going to need all the inspectors we can get. Not sure which of the two regionals I’m going to be the lead for, but hope to see you…

I will most likely be inspecting at Minnesota on Thursday. However, I can’t give you a for sure yes on that considering Wisconsin is our first priority for regionals. We registered for Minnesota first anticipating that they will fill up before Wisconsin again this year. If Wisconsin gets close to filling up, we’ll be forced to move our primary registration.

Even if for some reason, we are unable to attend both regionals, I will hopefully still come up to volunteer that weekend, (which means you’ll get me all three days). I just registered on VIMS today as a web judge, and hopefully, I’ll be able to add Robot Inspector to it.

We handled 45 rookie/2nd year teams pretty well last year I’d say. Adding another 30 should make things interesting.

Vivek, assuming 171 is able to attend a Minnesota Regional, I will definitely be coaching or scouting the whole time.

I was a little confused about why we had to place our robot on a piece of plywood on the scale when FIRST supplies a scale that is large enough for the robots…

At Wisconsin?

I’m guessing the official scale had a glitch and they used a backup, which would have been smaller. It happens occasionally.

Could be, I don’t think we had that problem at Minnesota. 166 was at Wisconsin though. I don’t remember if they had that problem there. I wasn’t inspecting in Milwaukee.

By the way, my favorite inspecting moment of last year’s Minnesota regional had to be when I told a team that their wires looked a little too pink and that they needed to rip them all out and replace them with redder ones. The students figured out that I was joking. The mentor thought I was serious. The look on his face was priceless.
