pic: LUCKY RECEIPT!!!

This is a cool story about a prophecy. Team 384 had been given free lunches by Ukrops, a local grocery store. We couldn’t eat them inside the Segal Center, so we went to the VCU Book Store to eat. Our team head said to buy something at the store as a thanks. I bought a drink.

People started to head back to the Segal Center and were stopped in front of the gates by security and told to dump the drinks. I hid mine. I brought it in and drank it.

Day 3. We head to the book store again to eat some pizza we bought. Since I got in with the pop, I decided to buy another pop and some cookies (Peperage Farm cookies with macadamia nuts & white chocolate). The total that it came out to be, with tax was $3.84. This was BEFORE we were in the finals and won.

Now that’s a sign.

How ironic! just last week after we won the chairmans award a team member and I went to 7-11 to fill up on food… Anyway, the total of his purchases came out to… drumroll please…$3.41

Now if only we could get any thing useful for $0.30… :stuck_out_tongue:

Who said having a big number was bad?

But how cool would it be if we ended up winning Rutgers, then through some black magic got to go to Nationals for only $.30… all while 30 little pigs flew around behind us

only if the pigs came from 30 countries

All while hell freezes over to exactly 30 degrees!

haha, Very often me and my friends go to Taco Bell after school and our order numbers are always like RIGHT after 271!!! The other day I got 273 I WAS SO PISSED I almost ran through Taco Bell SHouting for the receipt that was # 271!!! .

…it is our mission… we shall achieve this!!

Oh yeah, a movie at our local movie rental place (with tax) is $2.71 and the number e, is 2.718 (rounds to 2.72 :frowning: )

Oh and to anyone on team 273!! You should make your logo
“The difference between Celsius, and the real temperature”

If anyone can figure out why Team 311 (East Islip) is actually team 271 (Bay Shore) then you get a special prize, and if your going to Nats maybe i’ll get you something or something:p who knows!

At the Midwest regional, the bus route that goes by the competition site is route 201.

Wanna know something else weird…
Today before I filled my car up with gas,
It read 7,79!86! as the miles on the car
and 233 where it gives you the mileage for the tank…

To say I was ammused and wished I had my camera with me…

I though that you said that it came out to be 3.41…it looks to me like it totaled 3.84!

Nope, something that only corresponds between 271 and 311 , and to anyone else who is still paying attention, it is a number thing! So get to it and figure it out!!!

the bennigans by the SBPLI regionals max occupancy is 263. we went there after doing a demo with SBPLI and were like…woah

on the bus in florida last year on the radio was 311 now how freaky is that

I got lunch at McDonalds a while back, and the bill was $6.66.

I said to the kid behind the counter 'Oh NO! is this going to be the lunch from hell? [pointing at the total on the register]

the kid looked at me with a blank stare, and with his voice cracking asked “Is there a problem sir?”

I pointed at the register display again and said “its 666”

and he said “do you want me to get the manager?”

I said 'No, you never paid attention in Sunday school, did you?"

Ok- how weird is this-

The Official Name of the team 25 robot is “Opportunity Knocks”. “Evil Machine” was dubbed by the announcers when they saw the words written on the bumper by our drive team. (Believe me- they were going to write something MUCH worse!)

Anyway, during lunch on Friday at the Rutgers Regional some of the guys got Chinese food and came back with a fortune from a cookie saying

“A Great Opportunity is About to Knock”

That afternoon we were awarded the judges trophy, they gave me a volunteers award and the next day we seeded #1 and won the competition.

Coincidence ? … hmmmmm

I guess the Chinese bakers are looking after us.
