I’ll bet these make one heckuva racket!
Better than Moe Sticks? :ahh:
Can’t wait to see, and hear, these this weekend! Good luck! STORM is looking forward to playing some Stronghold with you guys.
Same here! Love the STORM cheer!
If you accept the premise that illegal is bad, then just about everything is better than Moe Sticks.
What’s a Wobbly?
If you’re talking about a noisemaker, to be used at FRC competitions, beware:
I’m not trying to be a kill-joy, and I hope this is taken in the spirit of enhancing everyone’s competition experience. Make all the noise you want with your voice and hands (it’s encouraged). But the artificial noise just bothers the people around you.
Have fun, and good luck!
Although personally I don’t like the wobblies; they use them in a legal way. The are only used before and after a match so that they could not be charged with distracting drivers.
I, too, am wondering what exactly a “Wobbly” is. I thought the noisemaker rule allowed them as long as they weren’t loud and/or annoying enough to distract drivers. I’d think the music, announcer(s), and other background noise could be more distracting though…
To be perfectly clear, this is what the noisemaker ‘section’ actually says:
There is nothing more said than that. Just use your best judgement.
As for the actual Moe Wobblies, look great! Certainly a signature Moe item at Mid-Atlantic events.
No really, what exactly are these wobblies of which you speak? Are there any videos of these wobblies in use?

MOE sticks for the win! 60 roboteers, mentors and parents with MOE sticks does draw your attention.
I missed the MOE reveal, so I was a little panicked that they had named the robot “Wobblies” Which upside down would be MOppliE5, so that would make sense, maybe they are “mopping” up the Stronghold.
Thump Thump tumpa-thump GO MOE!
Some MP3s on this page:
I listened, and they’re pretty interesting. I imagine them being a lot of fun to design and build, a lot of fun for the people using them, and really annoying to 90% of the people who are subjected to hearing them. Please, use them with discretion.
