pic: My husband and I met throught FRC - Origami bouquet

Well I don’t know if this is already on another thread but i was wondering since this popped up is there any body else that has met there future partner from FIRST??

Congratulations!!!

My wife so wanted to know how that bouquet was made when I showed her the pic earlier today. We didn’t meet in FIRST, but she has accepted the fact, and even encouraged it, that she is a FIRST widow now. She is so jealous of the wedding venue as well…she wishes she had thought of that.

I know Drew from MIT! Congrats to both of you!

Congrats, and welcome to the club!

Yes, my wife Stephanie (Stephi Rae on CD) and I met mentoring Team 190 in college, and now mentor Team 1983 and run the GameSense show together.

5/8th of our wedding party were also FIRST alumni and mentors.

I actually got engaged to my future partner at championship this year. I’m leaving for the army in a few weeks so I had wanted to ask before I left, so what more perfect place than championship? Two completely different FRC teams too.

That’s so great. Congrats and good luck out there.

Thanks Zach from the both of us. Someone has to reengineer and rebuild what the infantry blows up

Since everyone is talking about bringing CD back to what it used to be:

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

First of all, I totally forgot that I posted these pics…hence the delayed response. One of my bridesmaids made these for the bridal party. I think they are called kirigami flowers, and they were glued and strung together with wire. I know that I would not have had the skill and patience to make all of these.

I know of a couple that met in college mentoring. They’re both still mentors (of a different team now)
