Looking at that drive train layout it looks like you have some major teetering going on because of how far down the center wheel is dropped and how high the others are and close to the center of the robot. Is there a reason why you guys want to teeter like that?
it looks like there are two andymark wheels in the center, creating the illusion that it is lower.
I’m a little bit curious as to why the wheels are so far in? The ramp looks awesome though.
those wheels are also significantly lower. I know some teams have lowered the center wheels a small amount ( I believe that some of the SoCal teams have done it in the past), but this does seem exceedingly low for that center pair. I hop this works out for you guys, and i hope that the bold, ringer-free strategy works for you as well.
Yeah those wheels seem like they have a huge offset typically most teams only offset between 1/4 and 1/8". Hopefully you need the teeter for something though.
The center wheels are only 3/16 inch depressed. There are dual wheels on the center which makes it look more depressed than it is.The shorter wheelbase makes it more manuverable.l
Sounds good. I guess it is just an illusion. Moving the wheels out further shouldn’t hinder your maneuverability much if any and it will make you a bit more stable IMO.
We are also using a serpentine chain arrangement that likes a shorter wheelbase. We had lots of fun during the off season playing with six wheel drives:yikes:
Looks good guys. Now if you guys got two robots on your alliance that can climb up your ramp, that is a definite 60 points.
