617 no penalty. How did that much fuel get scored? If that’s 2 bots doing 70 in auto that’s still 516 fuel needing to be scored.
Fire powerups help a lot in that regard.
I’m noticing a complete lack of team numbers on that interface. The red team score is also a bit suspicious.
I sense there might be some shenanigans at play here.
It’s a side view game written in Java that can be found here.
Red concentrated on getting fuel in blues boiler, while blue worked on getting the 4 rotors. After the 4 rotors were finished, Red parked on the peg giving blue foul points, and Blue went for high boiler shots. The fire and refuel power ups were very useful.

The real high score was a score of 1006 with proof that is posted on the thread that announced the game. The user that posted that high score also posted a video where he showed his strategy to get that high of a score, mainly using the fire powerups.
I’m sure you asked FRC for permission to use their graphics, right? They are pretty cool about giving permission, and if you ask nicely they’ve even sent me stock graphics assets they use before. But asking permission is only the right thing to do.
When I contacted FIRST, I contacted the FRC Team Advocate directly at:

I did not, but considering I’ve had a response from Frank Merrick, I don’t plan on making money off it, and it’s only posted here, an FRC forum, and it’s clearly a parody, I think I’m fine. It is cool that they gave you graphics though. I might have to check on that for next year’s game.
In the First in Michigan (FiM) state championships the penalty system was broken during the test matches and scores were in the 20 thousands
Was this different from referees seeing how many times they could click the foul button during a match?
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it was
I was working A/V on that field and that is exactly what happened.
The refs like to have some fun sometimes, though the teams asked in subsequent practice matches that they not do that, so the teams could get a better idea of their scoring progress.
20,000s? Wish I had seen that one. I did grab a picture of this 100-point-lead victory for blue alliance on Ford Field through!

EDIT: Anybody else remember when Dow was running eleven hours ahead?

Just a note, chances are those were 15,000 I noticed that the FMS display isnt capable of showing a 5 digit score, so it just knocks the last digit off. Its a funny programming quirk.
This was due to a typo in one of the event dates/times that were entered into the match scheduler when generating qualification matches. Rather than rebuilding the schedule they just went with it and let teams know about the discrepancy.
In reality, all 4 fields kept relatively close to the same pace (give or take a few matches).
