This is an upside down view of our 2016 drive train. We modified a super shifter, added bevel gears and installed skyway wheels. It seams to work very well now after adding adjustable idler sprockets.
Looks great! I am not sure if clamping the CIM into the vice is a great idea though. IIRC we came really close to bending one by doing that.
God that looks insane, i hope that oneday our team could have such intricate parts, have you ever had a problem with the strength thouh? How thicks the metal?
Also are your bearings freespin on a bolt or on a bearing? Miht be a dumb question but we were advised that having a bearing for the idler would be bad due to the lateral load placed from the gears turning. Is that a thing?
