A project from early in build season, designing a simple expansion board for the MXP port. Left is a screenshot from Eagle, right is a render from EagleUp. PM me for project files!
Nice looking board!
I’m assuming that you had it made.
-
How did it work out? The connections are close together, how many of them did you use.
-
Where did you get the board made?
-
For the power connections at the top of the board, what did you use for connectors?
Why did you decide to stray from the “standard” 3-pin Analog Input connection layout?
We could have done a 3-pin layout for the analogs, but felt it wasn’t necessary, at least for the analog sensors we (very rarely) use. Analog reference lines on those sensors are separated onto a different cable, which would just get soldered to the 5V or 3V3 pad, as the MXP lacks a separate analog reference line.
