How did you get this photo? Its amazing how empty the field looks from above compared to how it looks from ground level.
It was taken from the catwalk on the roof of the Georgia Dome.
Yea, ponders same question… I know where you got it from but like how… like I asked in another photo it’s not like anyone can just go up there.
Seeing Koko Ed volunteering and 233, 340, and 148 scouting and 1155 clearly visible from above, I believe this is from Newton and not Galileo as the title mentions.
Specifically this appears to be Newton Qualification 41. 1155 is clearly visible pulling a red trailer and 2875 can be seen in the Red Alliance driver station. 340 and can be seen along the bottom edge towards the left side and 1516 is at the “top” of the crate being scored on by 1700.
How did 1155 have the foresight to put their team number on the top of their bot??
That’s a good question!
This is a really cool photo- I like the new perspective. As noted above, the field does look surprisingly empty from this angle.
It’s kinda like the 5th gear virtual game!
I thought the same thing when I saw this photo. It would be such an advantage to have an overhead view in a game, this one especially.
I wish someone could have videotaped matches from this angle, they would be quite interesting!
-plus, it would be fun to go up on the catwalk ::safety::
i would guess that Lunacy would look even more boring from above.
Ditto.
I saw all the matches on Newton standing right next to the field and they were reasonably exciting. Then we watched the finals on Einstein from the upper section of seats. Way boring.
This game will not go down in the annals of FIRST as a great spectator game…
Great game from my perspective as a driver, though.
