This is Team 1058’s 2013 robot, McFly. We struggled on friday at BAE GSR, but on Saturday, we finally started scoring. Our intake was pulling frisbees off the ground instantly, and our shooter was putting them into the 3 every time. Watch out for this speed demon at Pine Tree.
Drivetrain: 4-CIM, 4-6" plaction drive running on Super Shifters geared to 13.5 and 7 fps.
Shooter: 2 8" plactions in a linear path. Back wheel runs off of 2xRS550’s on a CIM-U-Lator, front runs off 1xRS775 and a CIM-U-Lator. Can shoot frisbees upside-down.
Intake: one exterior (10 wheel) and one interior (8 wheel) roller running off of one RS775 and a planetary gearbox.
Hopper: 11.5" canister with 2 pneumatic cylinders that lift frisbees into the shooter. Capable of holding 4 frisbees, with a maxiumum of 1 upside down.
Hanger: 2 1.5" cylinders pulling straight up and down for a 10 point hang. 30 point hanger is in the works.
Why, what does 341 have? IIRC, they haven’t done an official reveal yet, and it’s hard to count BaneBot wheels through a webcast that I couldn’t access…
I can’t wait to see you guys at Pine Tree. I caught one of your last matches on Saturday and was really surprised you skipped eliminations. Your pickup mechanism is simply amazing and are a great compliment to any alliance to clean up the home zone.
