Next time I need to grind some meat I’ll pop by you pit;)
Seriously… Has anyone ever lost a finger in those chains?!
Looks great guys!
Psssh, you should have gone all gold
love it! Hope it works as well as it looks.
Wow is all I have to say. That is one incredible robot.
I saw the video and assumed this was what you must be doing, but to see it close enough to make out all its awesome details is just unbelieveable.
I once made a prototype of this coaxial, single transmission drive in legos and stopped after one wheel because it was so impossibly complicated. You guys made a full FIRST sized robot, in under 6 weeks along with a turret and using 6 motors. Thats just crazy. Props to you, and I sure am glad I’m not at your regional ;).
By the way that arm looks awesome too, its unfortunate the drivetrain takes so much focus away from what looks to be an equally impressive device.
How do you guys tension your chains?
That is a huge tangle of chains. But what’s more impressive is that you guys have got it to work perfectly in 4 weeks no less!! Congrats
That’s because they’re that good.
I think that the increadible amount of engineering that went into that drivetrain ALONE is amazing… let alone that your manipulator is also very efficient, and its on a turret… I wish my team had enough time to make two robots, one for pracitce and one for game, and have even the rough version completed within the first 4 weeks! congratulations team 118
my brain hurts trying to figure out what all the chains are for
