Not only has our Robot “Fritz IV” been driven to victory at a regional also on the same field as St Louis Rams play with teams from all around the world. But We can now say Fritz IV has been driven by a Senator. Honorary member Senator Al Franken christened his membership by driving Fritz IV.
This was a great opportunity to talk with the senator. We could tell he really “got” what FIRST and STEM are really about! He also checked out Kennedy’s PLTW program and chopper class, but went way over the scheduled time with us because he was so engaged!

Clearly, your robot is good enough, you all are smart enough, and gosh-darn it people just seem to like you!
I remember him way back in his SNL days.
Trading Places, one of my favorite movies.
I remember him way back in his Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop improv show days in uptown Minneapolis.
I raise you by 1 President.

It was truly a great experience. It was during the school day so the whole team couldn’t be there, but it was still amazing. He really “gets it”.
Wow, you guys let new rookie team members drive the robot?
