pic: Stock Dispensing Machine

Takes a stack of ~6 20’ long 2x1x1/8 rectangular tubing stock and cuts it into desired lengths. Cutting tool not pictured, partly because I couldn’t find CAD of our chopsaw and partly because laziness.

Watch out freshmen! Robots are taking over your jobs! :stuck_out_tongue:

This by itself is really inefficient (an inaccurate to boot) and I can’t see anyone making this. Rather, the end goal is to have a fully automatic setup that makes a robot’s worth of rectangular tube parts while you sleep, by pairing this thing with a CNC machine designed to do tubes, which I don’t know enough to design right now.

In the end, it’s probably less work to train some students, but designing this was fun.

Neat this is how to “print” off entire RVs, worth of tubes. With cutlengths, notches, slots, pretty much anything cut into a tube that you can think of.
