Sorry for the bad pics, but we didn’t have much time to snap some good ones before ship. Our machine is a great herder, and can quickly lift the ball using a large open-claw sweeper. We then pick the ball and drive around either with the ball held off the floor in the low position, or in the position seen above. When we are hurdling, we have a 3-stage 7-piston system which raises the ball to hurdling height in under 2 seconds. In the middle height, we can driver under the overpass with about 1" clearance, and we can knock the ball off without reaching above the overpass.

Wow that’s a lot of cylinders!!! That’s a very creative and unique solution to this year’s game challenge. I’m most impressed by your IR range. Is that really in meters or do you mean feet? If it’s in meters I think you currently hold the record at ~275 ft. Can’t wait to see it in action in NJ.

we used the IR board in the hallway at school and ran out of hallway before the IR stopped receiving. We used a track counter to count it in meters. The question remains as to how it will work at regionals, especially with a reflection system we’re hoping to use. We will see when we get it on tomorrow!
