I want to say it is a tetra graber or even a tetra holder but I am not that smart sometimes at 11:30 at night but It looks very nice.
that’s exactly what I thought. A tetra holder from the underside, so they can carry tetras with them. Are we close?
I agree…tetra grabber
a…aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…aaaaaaa…?
kinda lost…looks pretty good though. I go with Kyle.
What is it though???
It seems as it is upside down in the picture… I wonder how the arm is going to attach to that
It could be a tetra holder. They might be holding mulitple tetras on the robot.
If it is a tetra holder i dont think it would be upside down because if it was the tetras would have a hard time staying on the bars.
My original plan for the robot was to hold the tetras upside down on the robot and have a arm be able to rotate 180 degrees. That way they would be easier to stack. It could be something similar to what I was thinking.
Well it could be upside down on the robot, and they just load tetras into it upside down. Then they just have an arm grab one and flip it over so to speak so that its in a good position to cap…it could also be a goal blocker???maybe??
oh oh! Its the propeller for the 2006 water game I hear so many rumors about. Way to get a head start for the future.
The tetra grappler as viewed from upside down the black lines probably have little poles or fingers that when the tetra shaped claw is alin=gned over the tetra extend like a super three prong claw hllding the tetra and retract to cap.
Ok I’m going to assume those black lines from each side are notches milled out. I think i’m seeing some pencil lines at the end of the slots. Perhaps giving away the “symmetry” needed. This may be a far stretch for this picture, but i think the whole assembly is made to slide up and down, say 6 or 7 feet, carrying tetras on top. And then dumping them onto a goal. this hieght could be lowered by not having to lift the tetras above the goal. Anyway, the people who know what it is are either shocked and amazed by my uncanny ability, or laughing themselves onto the floor. It is a far stretch, but i think we’ll see some cool stuff this year. Am I even close?
as steve said, this was without full team consent. therefore, nothing can be said for or against any of the predictions made, though there are definitely some creative visual thinkers out there. perhaps more to come.
Scandalous picture!
That’s right… this picture was posted without full team consent = .
IMHO, it potentially can give away a lot of information…
But that’s the risk with teasers isn’t it? What’s done is done… let the masses decide if this helps us or hurts us .
BTW: “You’re VERY warm”
-SlimBoJones…
hahaha…you all might have just as well put up a “dave lavery game hint” I think your secret is safe with whatever you are building…so far we got tetra grabber, goal blocker, and my favorite a propeller for a future game…
Has Slimbo been talking to you?
i think its a tetra grabber/ goal blocker. the grabber is mounted onto an arm that can rotate 300 degrees. They would park themselves in between two goals and would be able to cap either goal thats beside them. after they drop the tetra onto the goal, the grabber will act as a goal blocker
oh, those black lines are slides, that stoppers are connected to. They shove this thing under the tetra and pull them in along the slides and it will lock the tetra in place and orientation. Very clever i must say.
