What is that grey looking thing at the end of the chippy? Is it a planetary GB of some kind?
It’s just a collar made out of PVC to mount the CIM on really tightly. It also serves the purpose of going around the keyway on the CIM to allow us to use a completely unmodified motor running onto that common shaft. It’s an interesting design for an unshifting gearbox, but it was originally designed to shift.
