pic: Team 237's completed Monster

Here is a finished pic of team 237’s robot. If you have any questions, you can either e-mail or pm myself or another member of 237.

All that snazzyness, and still under weight.

~110 lbs to be exact.

110 lbs underweight? wow?

Umm… no, not 110 lbs underweight.
That would truly be a featherweight category. 110 lbs total.

Hmm… is that a platform I see? How exactly are you planning on picking up tetras?
Cool design though… :]

Platform? Huh? I guess… But it is pretty much our final robot.

As for how we pick up tetras see this pic:

Did someone say featherweight??? You know when I was a young lad and actually on a FIRST team…they used to give out awards for things like I dunno say building a good robot, having a nice looking robot…see a pattern here? A much different one then the pattern we see in today’s awards. But I digress…there used to be an award called "Featherweight in the final’s…awarded to the team with the lightest robot to make it into the elimination rounds if I remember correctly. coughs Flying Pig coughs

so your not protecting your compressor and such in the back?

Intense looking robot… A tank rather… haha… How high can that lift??? I can’t wait till we get to see action with you guys… You always seem to have great robots…

Directly in the back the compressor currently lacks protection. There are two side panels not on in this pic that cover the sides and protect the electronics and the top of the compressor.

We had no other place to mount the compressor and it doesn’t fit sideways. The main concern is the 900 air fitting coming out of the compressor (rear of robot). We have plenty of spare fittings and compressors but we may make a small baffle or shield for it if need be.

We were worried about the same thing, so we took the top piece of the compressor off and spun it around, so the connection wasn’t on the outside of our bot. We had run out of whatever size connector fits in that second hole. But it works perfectly if you want to try it

haha is that legal to do? :yikes:

Wow… it’s good to see that 237 is keeping up the tradition of totally awesome bots!
