The rack doesnt move at 16 fps…

Cory, weren’t you guys going to have outer panels to protect the wheels? Or are they just not pictured?

-Guy

They aren’t pictured. We didn’t put them on the comp bot yet… just tossed them in the box.

They just aren’t pictured. If you look next to each wheel you will see a total of 4 standoffs, they go there.

I wasn’t reffering to their top speed. I was referring to the fact that they hug the tube close and the orientation of the tube to the rack doesn’t seem to matter. these two together make it look like defense won’t have as much of an effect as if they had an arm. If they are spun by another robot, the tube doesn’t move as much as if it were on an arm.

very nice
I look forwards to seeing it this weekend

Do you have any plans for an autonomous mode?

Great efficiant robot. Tell Matt that I like how well he drives.

gotta see if that blue really is darker in person   No worries dude. I’m diggin it! C ya thurs.

That’s the sweetest blue I have ever seen. Please don’t let it be any darker than what it is pictured.

Are you guys worried about the big black wire dangling off the side? It could be an entanglement issue, unless you’ve already fixed that problem.

Wow, gorgeous design, and very nice wheels  I can’t wait to see this at LA.

How is the elevator mechanism actuated?

It’s a piece of IGUS cable chain, to carry the pneumatic tubing and wires running up to the grabber. It never leaves the footprint of the robot, but it does flop around a bit. 968 has been practicing with theirs run inside the elevator, which has worked well, so we’ll probably do the same for the comp bot.

Two big CIM’s are driving a 2" spool that pulls a cable attached to the grabber

we used our 14fps high gear for most of the time then switched to low gear for pushing or climbing ramps. Im sure they will make great use of it  … PS u have a beautiful bot and i met 968 last year and they looked amazing. Look forward to hopefully seeing you in atlanta

Whoa cool… Looking forward to seeing it in action.
