Complete with "E.L.I.T.E. BS" stereoscopic image correlator technology. Who needs two cameras, anyway? Dave's Krispy Kremes are ours!
Very cool…
Why does that kitbot remind me of dave’s car that is on mars now? :ahh:
Does it have wings that fold out with solar panels? To charge the battery during the match?
Can you explain exactly how your “E.L.I.T.E. BS” stereoscopic image correlator works?
Many team members have discussed using two cameras but this seems like a much more cost effective an elegant solution.
Most certainly. The “E.L.I.T.E. BS” system was a COTS item. Anyone can pick one up for $1.99 at their local Wal-Mart. Usually, they are located on racks next to the watch/jewelry section. No programming required!
hahaha!
I think your robot has a little bit of an unfair advantage there. :ahh:
It actually took me a few minutes to get it =P
What are the four motors at the back of the bot used for
For our fall robotics classes, our students constructed a control system demonstration board for use as a teaching tool in future classes. Once we assembled the Kit Bot chassis and transmissions, instead of building a new, temporary controls base for the robot, we decided to save time and effort by mounting the demo board on top of the kitbot and wire the four speed controllers to the CIM’s. The four motors you see on top of the board are the original demonstration motors, which are only along for the ride.
That makes a lot more sense now… :-p
I was looking at the robot, I couldn’t figure out what was going on, I thought maybe you guys were trying to make a hovercraft or something.
In any case, I think I have to say the sunglasses make that robot cooler than any other robot I’ve seen. I mean, seriously, who has ever seen a robot with aviators?
