What a job it was to get everything squared away in this little insignificant space we had. Its a little bit messy, but everything works. You can see part of our rear drive train, one of our cylinder which controls our 2 side arms, 1 cylinder that controls out top arm, and another that controls our suction cups to act as a vacuum. Watch out in Hartford and Long Island!
wow thats pretty bad!
Actualy makes me reminicent of what we had going on under the hood last year:)
Good luck finding bad wiring!
Is the servo on top serving a purpose?
The servo is for a, well, let’s say… secret weapon :yikes:
its not secret anymore! NOW WE KNOW YOU HAVE IT!
hehehe…
Just kidding…
:]
your wiring is nothing compared to our abysmal mess.
I will post a pic if we took one of it.
all i can say is, be afraid, be very, VERY afraid
Is it the Servo of Doom? If so, we already have one. Two, to be exact.
as a matter of fact, one of our teammates did dub it the Servo of Doom. It serves a nice purpose for the end of the matches, hint hint :yikes:
omg someone finaly made a anti gravity device!
i’m impressed! You’ll levitate using that servo and that way you dont have to worry about touching any boxes at the end of a match…pure genius!
After seeing a few of your pics, I am afraid, very afraid–only if you’re our opponent @ SBPLI. Looks like you have another great bot this year. I like the drive wheel setup. Your wiring looks like our’s from last year. We soldered everything then triple checked everything–knowing that we’d never be able to access certain areas without the jaws of life.
Good luck, see you on the 20th!!!

Why is everyone proud of thier poor wiring jobs? Shouldn’t you be proud of a neat clean wiring job?
I wish I had pictures of ours.
No. If you wanna see a wiring nightmare, take a look at our bot’s wiring. PWMs and relay cables splayed out, wires all mixed up and not color coded, and they’re all stuck under one piece of Lexan or another to keep them out of the way.
I guess bad jobs get done by rookies. But, hey, we built it and I’m darn proud.
i had a great time zifftying our electronics board. looks pretty snazzy. I don’t think we got any pictures before we shipped though.
oh yes, zip ties can be fun

this is before zip ties, I think…
we can take our electronics off the bot.
although I didn’t do most of the wiring this year (a first) I still love those red handled all purpose stripper/cutter/crimpers

edit: yes we know the twin muffin fans are illegal… I am still baffled as to why they are considered motors
