Here’s a photo of Team 1583s complete robot chassis. The mechanism is sitting in the background The robot has a helical ball harvester and a very high angle shooter.

What was used for the numbers on your bumpers? They look really nice.

Im licking the bumpers too. Where does your trailer hitch attach?

If that’s an intake on the left, the hitch has to attach in the middle of the right side…

Time for some bumper cutting.

If, on the other hand, the left side is simply an organizer zone, then the hitch goes in that area, no modification needed.

Awesome looking chassis, but i however am not licking any robot this season, that made me chuckle though.

  1. The numbers are embroideried on fabric and then attached with really strong glue.
  2. You’re looking at the left side of the robot(we are a wide drive). The trailer hitch is on the back opposite the ball intake.
3)Bumpers meet all the requirements (2/3 rule, trailer tongue doesn’t touch first, six inch or longer, and less than 18 lbs)

We’ll post some more pics when the programers let us near it:D

Eric, I think the picture is playing a trick on you. I see room for two bumpers on back with a space between them. The rear bumper (nearest to camera) doesn’t cover even half of the whole rear of the robot.

Yeah… Darned perspective.

“when the programmers let us near it”

Well, speaking for the programmers in question, I just have to say WOOHOO for the team’s efforts this year. The chassis and mechanism is complete and we completed the programming today. Six days until ship and we have a complete robot with programming! This puts us at least six days ahead of any past years I have done this.

In past years we have completed/tested/tweaked hardware and/or software at the regional and still managed to do well. Everyone at the Colorado regional had better look out this year because we can concentrate on competing right from the start.

I’m not sure we will know how to act next Tuesday when we can put it in the box with all the parts attached. In some past years we have still been attaching parts while we were putting it in the box. (Come on, fess up out there, I know we weren’t the only ones).

Hmmm…I so can’t wait to see all the Colorado FRC Robots in action this Saturday…It’s going to be fun…full capacity and full field(except the one corner), yay!
