pic: THE ARM!



Here’s the piece i really like. Maybe because i worked on it, but probably because its just plain cool :wink: Its our 9 foot arm. Its got 3 joints, the first two of which are powered by fischer price motors(geared down of course) and the last joint, the one the grabber is on is powered by a globe motor. It has a nice little feature called autoleveling. If we grab a stack and swing the arm the stack stays straight up. (not through programming)Both of the upper joints do this though. It has to be seen to be believed. As for strength, well i’m going to be laughing my head off when the so called king of the hill robots get pushed around by our arm. Its strong enough to just lift other robot right off the ground so don’t leave anything for us to grab onto. :slight_smile:
