what exactly is that big yellow thing?
Our robot, of course.
Fear us.
It seems to me that you might need some lighting holes in your robot for it to be able to be moved out of the building. But I like the name S-110R thats kinda original
I think it would take more then just a few… (I guess kyle’s think alike  )
are those motors from the kit?
If so i think i need to tell first im missing them… lol
so how’s much does the bot way??? and how are you guys packing it in the crate??? nice though
Well of course we’re going to drill.
In fact we’re giving each and every team member a drill and they are going to keep on drilling til our lead engineer tells us to stop.
The X-Cat who drills the most holes without disabling the arm gets a honeymoon sweet in Atlanta all to themselves.
Eh, a couple a thousand pounds. ANd crate it? We’re going to drive it to Atlanta.
So we can expect to see an X-Cats tractor trailer this year?
We’ll check the budget (probably gonna have to sell alot of candy bars).
Really, I doubt that’s going to be on your arm. I don’t know much about assembly line arms, but I do believe that there are hydraulic hoses on your arm, and I do recall there being something against hydraulics…which also upsets me…we were thinking about adding hydraulics to our old robot to make it hop and bounce around and what not like those pimped out cars. But that arm looks pretty cool, where did you get it and how much was it?
MMM first i think its suppose to be a joke
And i doubt they bought this or anything, its prob in the factory were they build there acutal robot
Oh I forgot to use one of these .
It was “bestowed” upon us ( I prefer the term we were cursed by it’s presence) and are actually trying to sell it (for $10,000 it’s all yours). Our actual arm is much lighter and not as complex or expensive but with all the nutty "teasers this year I thought I’d have some fun with this.
That is a really, really old FANUC Robot model S-110R. It was one of the original electric servo motor robots. At the time they had both DC and AC versions, but i think this one is an AC servo motor robot. It was primarily used for spot welding cars.
I believe the GMF was for when General Motors and FANUC worked together. FANUC has very nice robots, I am using them all the time out at Oakland Community College in Auburn Hills. Pretty fun stuff
So should we lower the asking price?
This is a full view of the thing.

Comes with it’s own control panel (the thing is about the size of a cabinet and weighs as much as a large television).
Odd, my dad just got back from Detroit testing FANUC robots… he’s an EMC Engineer.
H e wouldn’t be interested in buying a used one would he?
