The international flavor of the event was amazing. These kids were from China and could barely see over the edge of the field. Here they are discussing strategy with our drive team with drawings and hand motions.

This is a terrific photo and your caption offers so much insight into the competition atmosphere and the interactions. It is very cool.

It was a great event with a lot of excitement. The venue (Dallas Convention Center and Arena) was excellent and FRC/FTC/VRC team 294 had a lot of fun. The celebration Saturday night at the nearby Hyatt Hotel was awesome.

These two little guys were so much fun. My son was hanging out with one of them at the team party. (I have a photo, but it is not very good.) They couldn’t understand one another, so they were smiling and patting each other a lot!

My kids that were doing field reset said that these two could say (in English) “Thank you,” “Hello,” “Yes,” “No,” “That is my robot,” “Where is my robot?” and “Bye.” Everything you need to get by at a robotics competition.
