Pipe Sizes?

5.3 Reef says the pipes are 1-1/4 " Schedule 40 Steel. 1-1/4" nominal pipe size is actually 1.66" OD and that matches the CAD files released.

5.4.1 Cage says the pipes are steel 1-3/8" Schedule 40, a nominal size that doesn’t show up in my charts. The CAD files show an OD of 1.315", that matches 1" nominal pipe size. Can anybody confirm that the pipes for the cages are 1" Schedule 40?

Only Q&A could confirm it. And maybe not - I seem to recall they only wanted to answer game questions in prior years.

The cage diagram lists 1" Schedule 40. (page 67 in 2025FieldDrawings-GameSpecific.pdf)

Questions about other officially-provided materials have been addressed in the past. E.g. in 2024 (PDF), Q71 and Q74 addressed discrepancies between the team drawings and the cut list.

Section 5.4.1 CAGE
CAGES are 2 ft. tall and 7⅜ in. wide (outside dimension) (~61 cm tall and ~19 cm wide) rectangular structures.
Each CAGE is a welded structure made of 4 steel 1-⅜ in. 1 in. Schedule 40 pipes, a bottom plate, a top plate,
and an eyebolt with fastening hardware
