Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

i was just wondering who else loved Pirates of the Caribbean? i saw it twice in two days :D. we could not resist seeing it again! orlando bloom is such a cutie and jonny depp is just hott!! but other than that, i thought it was awesome and i am counting down the days til it comes out on dvd.

Hell yeah! I just saw it yesterday and I’ve decided I’m spending the first bit of money that comes my way to see it again! Jhonny Depp is the coolest character I think I’ve ever seen. He by far fleshed it out better than any other pirate animated or otherwise. So cool. And it’s DISNEY! I couldn’t believe it. Well, the title should have tipped me off, but whatever :stuck_out_tongue:

awesome movie!
wonder if there will be a sequel…

 Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me.
We pillage plunder, we rifle and loot.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don’t give a hoot.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me.
We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle and even highjack.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me.
We kindle and char and in flame and ignite.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we’re really a fright.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

We’re rascals and scoundrels, we’re villians and knaves.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
We’re devils and black sheep, we’re really bad eggs.
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

We’re beggars and blighters and ne’er do-well cads,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Aye, but we’re loved by our mommies and dads,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me.

Great movie… great movie…

watched it twice and enjoyed it even more the second time! Might just have to re-name my boat… er… ship!

I thought it was good. I only had one problem though

With all that blood and violence it should have been rated “RRRRRR!!!

hehe, loved it

I saw it on opening night and the day after. I really do love it.

The best part - “If you like pain, try wearing a corset.”

… either that, or Orlando Bloom. mmmmmm.

I’m glad to see that the public is receiving this film well.

I haven’t seen it yet, but I am looking forward to it and the upcoming “Haunted Mansion” film.

It’s ironic that the Studios only recent hit movie was one based on their theme park rides and things weren’t the other way around. Maybe it’ll be a wake up call to Disney.

I swear, there is just something about Johnny Depp in raggedy clothing and the dreads and messy hair…but mostly it is the eye shadow that makes it all come together…never in my life have I actually thought that a celebrity was hot…and I mean NEVER. I have to see that movie again!!! Forget Terminator 3 and all of its extravagent special effects! Well, maybe.

I saw the movie with a few friends, and we all loved it. it was a great time! i honestly want to see it again.

I LOVED johnny depp… he was soooooo sexy in that eyeliner, and we all loved his drunken swagger!!! we also enjoyed orlando bloom, lol… plenty of hot guys in that movie!!! plus, we all laughed- a lot… i love that movie… a lot.

def one of the best movies i’ve ever seen. and yes johnny depp and orlando bloom are sooooo hot! what a combination!! it’s almost as if they were meant to be pirates!i a so going to see it again, and again, and again…

I seriously hope that was an attempt at a joke!! And a bad one at that!! lol

Anyways, Fun Fact of the day time!!! Did you know that Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is the first Disney movie with a rating as high as PG-13??

edit: Of course this is counting only “Disney” movies and not affiliate companies like MGM and their movies.

Yup, you heard it hear first folks!!

MGM isn’t affiliated with Disney in any way, short of their naming partnership at the company’s Florida theme park and that park’s access to MGM’s film library.

In fact, MGM has wanted to end that relationship for quite some time.

The Walt Disney Co., however, does anyone many other movie studios. Among these are Touchstone, Dimension, and Hollywood Pictures. Each of these has produced many movies that are PG-13 or above in their rating.

While PotC is their first PG-13 rated film released under Disney’s own brand name, it’s not the first non-G rated film. That honor, for anyone who’s keeping track at home, goes to 1979’s The Black Hole.

jonnyo is a total baller through that whole film

Wonderful movie. I’ve seen it 3 times and if I can get a ride, I’m going again  My parents liked it but they still think I’m nuts.

Johnny Depp was great as Captain Jack Sparrow and ORlando Bloom was good as Will Turner and on and on.

I have a ? for ya’ll. Did any of the girls go to see it because the movie looked good or just because Johnny Depp and/or Orlando Bloom was in it? No offense to anyone, just an observation that most other girls did.

Definatley one of my favorite movies. I think it may even be better then LOTR and HP.

Savvy- a word that I am seriously trying to add into my vocabulary

Peace

I’ve seen it several times, and it is a great movie.

Jack Sparrow and Barbosa are the two people that really make the movie good. Will and elizibeth are your typical BORING predicatable cliche disney characters. The movie would have sucked if they had been the only leads. The pirates, tho, the pirates were great. I thought Barbosa was a great character, second only to Jack sparrow (friend of mine: “Thats no swagger, thats a stagger!”)

Yes, i would say its def up there with LOTR, but i dont think anything can top LOTR. however, Pirates gets pretty close. i know i initially was attracted to the fact that johnny (ugh, i still cant get over how hott he is in that movie) and orlando were in it, but i also wanted to see it for the movie. i thought it was cool that they took that scene in the prison cell, when the prisoners were trying to get the dog with the keys to come to them, directly out of the ride. that was a nice touch.

i went to go and see it for the actual movie. i dont like either orland bloom or johnny depp, though i must say that they both did excellent jobs playing their roles. and i have to agree, the eyeliner on johnny depp was awesome. i loved the movie, that it was so awesome, and i am going to go see it again as soon as i can

the corset quote wasn’t that great. It was too out of place in the movie. Especially how they stopped the action and zoomed in for the delivery. I expect that out of movies like dumb and dumbererer. or whatever.

I liked all the pirate lingo better. Whenever any of them opened their mouthes I was laughing. Half the time it took a few viewings just to figure out what the hell the pirates meant through all those aye! arrr! me mateys!.
