PixyCam does not work - at all

Hello! We just received a PixyCam from AndyMark, but following the installation instructions at http://cmucam.org/projects/cmucam5/wiki/Install_PixyMon_on_Windows_Vista_7_8 has led us nowhere. The software is installed on our laptop, but plugging in the PixyCam results in a constant stream of the Windows “device disconnected” sounds (about once every 1-5 seconds) and the PixyMon program returning the errors “Pixy has stopped working.” and “Unable to open USB device.” The only two things I can think of that may be causing this are the fact that the laptop is running Windows 10 (which probably shouldn’t cause this issue) or that we got a defective camera (which would be worse). If anybody else has experienced similar issues, please let me know.

Update: running it on a Mac seems to work fine. It must be a Win10 issue after all.

We’ve been running Pixymon under Windows 10 since the middle of last season with no connection issues.
