It depends on wether you can get those plastic mounds from a legal source or not.
I know they arenāt in the kit, and I donāt think there is anything similar in the additional hardware list. If you can find what you want in the SPI catalog, then you can use those, but otherwise, it would not be legal to use plastic mounds.
There is no other rules prohibiting the plastic mounds, so as long as you can get them from a legal source, you are able to use them.
If by āplastic moundsā, you really meant āplastic mountsā, you might take note that the Additional Parts List does include a provision for āfastenersā in āany amount/sizeā.
In any case, I canāt really imagine what a āplastic moundā (for mounting) would look like!
maybe they mean to melt a block of plastic over something to bury it in the plasicā¦ that would look like a mound
Anyways, be careful when using plastic to mount things. it tends to break easily.
