plug in for window motor

I searched to see if there was any topic such as this I could not find any for this year.

How are we supposed to wire in the window motor for this year? There is black plug in on the motor but, we can seem to find anything that plugs into it. Has one else came across this problem.

The kit does not come with a wiring harness for the window motors. I’m not sure if the connector is the same as in past years (I don’t have one in front of me right now), but in the past I’ve used insulated female quick-connect crimp terminals to slide onto the window motor pins. Give the non-crimp end of the connector a little squeeze with pliers first to make the opening more narrow narrow so it will stick on the pin better.

I seem to recall that this issue is addressed in the Guidelines, Tips, and Good Practices manual.

it is recommended reading even if it doesn’t answer your question…

the Keyang window motors to drive various mechanisms.

Keyang motor is also 9-toothed, but it is not identical with the Nippon Denso motor.

We found the connecter do we soldering in the wires??

I forget that there are two different kinds of window motors this year. My advice was for the Nippon-Denso motor… I haven’t taken a look at the Keyang connector yet. That would explain what the weird connector in the terminal bag was, though.

how would we wire it to the connector? We are in dire need of advice here, being <1 week till ship.

I’m gonna solder the wires, but which is positive and which is negative? lol we cut off the plastic outer connector and i think it may have had the symbols on it.

or does it not matter?

can someone reply ASAP?!?!

The polarity is not important. Wire it either way, and adjust the direction it is turning through programming (or switch the wires on the victor output).

We just connected it with female spade connectors.

my question/comment concerns the G.5.3.4 Keyang window motors… We received two… One has the GM typre connector, which we did receive in the kit of parts. The second motor has a different type of connector looks to be the same type from a nissan or honda vehicle

a mentor and I just went to some local autopart stores to see if we could find the right hook-up for the -023 motor and we believe we found a match. If you all still need to find this part, go to your local autopart store and tell them part number EC86, it looks very, very, very close to the hook-up required for it.

Just thought I would let everyone else know in good sportsmanship:rolleyes:
