Any idea why I can’t add anybody to PM chains?
Wow I’ve never seen that split thing before - cool stuff
Not without any details … are you getting any errors?
No, I just click the “add or remove users” button and nothing happens. I’ve used multiple devices that all work with other Discourse sites.
I think I found the setting preventing this … give it another try.
Still a no - will I need to clear my cache for whatever you changed to take effect?
@EricKline I see you
Are you able to add anybody to a PM?
Hahaha I’ve been watching carefully…let me see…
Hmm…I seem to also be having issues. I’m aslo on my phone though so let me try on a computer
At least it’s not just me, thanks.
I believe the issue is that you need to earn the “Member” rank to create group PMs.
Oh jeez trust levels
I’ve been TL4 on other sites for so long I forgot those were a thing
Do we have a member’s lounge here?
If not, could that be made a feature for people of TL1?
That being said I’m only 2 days away from getting Member at this point, although having to wait that long is really gonna hurt the whole “dead chat” aspect of the FRC Mafia game I’m running
Yeah I’m really want to get I to that chat. I’m just now leaving my robotics design review, so I’m going to drive home and see if I can’t look around on my computer… I wonder if I will make member…how do I check the requirements? It would be a shame if I didn’t meet them.
It’s on Discourse Meta but amounts to 15 days of activity, 20 topics and 100 posts read, given/gotten a like, and an hour of time reading posts iirc
Wow I’m way past those! When can you get the next level after that?
You probably don’t meet the “15 days of activity” yet, given Discourse only began tracking a little after January 1, when it was put up.
Edit: If you look here, you’ll see the first Member ranks were given out early today to non-mods, due to today being the 15th day of Discourse being up.
Hmm… I should get it soon, I joined only hours after the new site went up
