We are looking to use pistons to push certain parts of the robot and we need to do it in a certain amount of time and we were wondering if there is some type of calculation we could do to solve for the force exerted by the piston if we had the psi and measurements of the piston.
PSI: lb/in^2. Typically lbf as opposed to lbm.
If you have the internal size, you can get a lbf reading if you assume constant pressure. Then you can do a volumetric analysis to see if your constant pressure will hold up…
