- I am deeply offended at the suggestion of such a primitive form of storage.

For teams that don’t currently use any form of organization, have you noticed any benefits or advantages from that?
I have a 1778 labeled FIRST tote (red) that I use to store stuff in my dorm. The “NONSPILLABLE BATTERY INSIDE” sticker goes well with my Rigid case with nerf stickers on it lol.
Benefits:
- Everything is easily accessible when it’s laying out in the open.
- Forced to build a simpler robot when we lose track of the parts to build a complex mechanism.
- Support FIRST vendors by rebuying parts you already have.
- Can select a funny answer to CD polls.
Cons:
- None
We used to use the totes for almost everything, but it got to be really bad to dig for small things in bags in totes. But we still use them for larger things like metal cutoffs, wheels, etc.
Yes. We use them for various things, but they’re not used to store items we access often. I may still even have Rubbermaid totes in my personal storage from Stack Attack.
We lose things, buy new versions, find the original, and now we have 2! Also we get to educate our members how to find that part they saw in the shop one time and never found again on AM or WCP to buy some for use.
We are legally required to.
