Im having a real bad day today but im trying to put my mind into the FIRST project as hard as that may be to cheer me up. I went to the drawing and found error after error.
Who ever drew this needs to redo it at least in a size that does not require a microscope to read the dimensions, at least for us blind old folks.
Drawing in english and not code would be nice too. many of the critical sizes are missing. The drawing is useless as writen.
The side view of the center section not including the ramp A3 and A4 as I read it is describing angle iron on top of angle iron? This is the floor base under the ramp, now does A1 the 2" angle under the ramp sit on top of this assembly?
There is no F1 but its the lip on the ends of the ramp, there is no info on connecting this to the ramp?
I dont see any string on the material list so its not tied on.
I have just wasted the whole day trying to decipher FIRSTs drawing.
Sorry all but I said I was GRUMPY and having a bad day. I will be better when we get to cutting metal.

i agree. I’ve decided that i cannot read the prints that FIRST comes out with. They go against everything i know about drawings… Granted, i’m a youngen and spoiled by 3d technology but I’m glad i don’t have the responsability of reading them this year… i’ll just assemble

Just a word of warning… FIRST handed out a blueprint of the field different from the one in the rulebook due to last minute changes…

Just hope everyone remembers this and looks at the right drawing…

good luck all
