Pop Disaster Tour Review...

Ok, well tonight I went to the Pop Disaster Tour which starred, Jimmy Eat World, Green Day and Blink 182. All I have to say is bring on WARPED TOUR!!! I loved it, although I was let down by Blink. I figured Green Day was the headliner but they weren’t, it was Blink and they weren’t worthy of it. I’m not being biased but Green Day had the best non-pop concert I’ve ever seen in person. They worked the crowd, played perfect and sounded great. They played for about an hour and 45min; a set including basically the entire Dookie album, some from Insomnia and a few of their new songs. Blink on the other hand tried to be really funny and all but their jokes weren’t too great. They only played for about an hour but the ending was good. They also sounded like poo.

So to sum it up, if you like Green Day, go to the tour, if you like Blink and have never seen them, this may be a let down and if you are a huge fan of Jimmy… well they only played like 5 songs and just pranced around without the lights and fireworks like the other two had. AHHH I want WARPED NOW!!

you got the name worng…

its the SELL-OUT TOUR 2002…and the only band worth even talking about is Blink

But yeah i can’t wait for Warped Tour…its gonna be awesome(my first warped tour)

Blink blows… all they sing about is how they lost their girlfriend or boyfriend… all EMO!!! Green Day is the originator of mainstream punk!!! THEY OWN!!!

ummm, no… none of the bands on there are worth paying a ticket for. It should be called “Selloutica Tour 2002” because well, they all sold out. i can’t speak for Jimmy Eat World cause i didn’t like them when they were no-bodys either. Green Day and Blink all left their original fan base and changed their music for cash. And the ticket price is a ripoff… Warped is only $25 for like 30+ bands and sports and events and attractions. Its awesome. The ONLY reason i might go to Selloutica is because Saves The Day is playing the Philly date… Saves The Day could save the tour if they headlined, well… maybe…

heh… mainstream punk… that is an oxymoron… Punk is partly defined as NOT being mainstream… thats the point… they’re Power Pop… (or I call it crap)

Oh COME ON!!! GREEN DAY IS SO GOOD!!! I like Save The Day, “You know what? The next you see me, yea tell him I’m gonna stick some needles in his face…” But Green Day’s music is catchy and not all EMO!! Dookie and Insomnia are Green Day’s best CDs… there is nothing wrong with them.

all the CD’s they made after Dookie were after their sellout transition… so… thats when they started stinkin…

Saves The Day is the on the same road as Blink/Jimmy Eat World/etc…

They were in Teen People or something as the hottest new ‘Boy’ Band.

They are NOT a boy band. They were not made by some producer who wears a suit in NY or LA… They DO play their own instruments… they write their OWN music… they are NOT new and they don’t suck… hence… they’re not a boy band. N’Suck, Backstreet losers, and the rest of em are fakes. They’re produced to be what their management wants them to be, not what they want to be. S.T.D. are originals.

I have to agree with you there…

39 Smooth (1991) Excellent Debut

Kerplunk (1992)- Sweet!

Dookie (1994): Plain Awesome!

Insomniac (1995) was their last decent album

Nimrod (1997) had a good song or 2

Warning (2000) was total crap

International Superhits (2001)… Mixture of good and bad songs…basically a greatest hits album…Mostly Good Selections though

And According to CDnow.com:
Tune In Tokyo (2001) ugg looks like Live in Toyko with stuff from Warning…

Seems a lot of the underground are becoming mainstream as they get caught with what the youth of today consider “in.” As us teens become more “rebellious” and suddenly, being punk is a fad… then this is what is going to happen, and it intake air loudly’s. Oh well… I can’t wait to be like 30… and have my music be “oldies”
