Possible material source for wide conveyor belt

I have a couple workout bands (loops) that may make good conveyor belt material. They’re stretchy cloth fabric, ~ 8.5 cm wide and ~ 38 cm long, measured while the band is laying flat.

They have a good friction surface, and when turned inside-out there are two stripes that are more friction-y. Their ends are sewn together with a 3.6 cm overlap, I think the ends could be separated to make 38+38+3.6 cm band, then sewn to another to make a longer belt. They’re available at

They’re US$ 15 for two, not a bad price. I don’t know if they’d last more than one season, I’d do a lot of testing, and have some as spares.
