Power-Up Discussion

Thoughts or comments on the game? Ranking point in auto is a little interesting.

The scoring per second function is going to make for different strategies, similar to a moba, constantly handling multiple scoring positions rather that attempting to make goals

What is the game manual code?

I’m very excited about the auto ranking point. It’s definitely a different game.

Also, there is another large object in the middle of the field. I wonder how vision might be needed.

Not released yet.

The idea of how time plays a role in the game is interesting. Ownership is the main goal for the game, which is different than previous years.

Very, very excited  Aren’t we all, though?

Oh man. I wonder how the 3 power ups will interact with the game. I think levitate is gonna be pretty broken.

Levitate could be crazy, if you can get the three cubes to it. I feel like communication among the alliances is going to be more critical than ever before.

I think levitate would be best to be saved in case one of the teams misses the climb. Hopefully every team attempts to climb without relying on levitate.

This is definitely a redesign of Recycle Rush

3 robots on that tiny rung? This is one of the more difficult engineering challenges first has ever given us.

You could also use a levitate power up.

Thank you to whoever it was that fixed ranking.

Rule 10.4.3: The total number of Ranking Points earned by a Team throughout their Qualification MATCHES divided by the number of MATCHES they’ve been scheduled to play (minus any SURROGATE MATCH), then truncated to two (2) decimal places, is their Ranking Score (RS).

It seems like one way to maximize scoring per second is to pile up boxes and then score them immediately after setting up your “corner”. Maybe, stacking or groups of them stacked before scoring would be more efficient.

I am noticing there are a lot of exceptions for bots extending outside their frame perimeter and bot position in the endgame. Prediction for valuable bots: will climb the center rung but also support their alliance partners in the climb by way of extendable rung or hook.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to do scouting for this game???

A lot of strategy with power up use for sure as well as a focus on speed with scoring per second rather than per cubes…

See G17

How far above the frame perimeter can the robot extend vertically (not for starting configuration) ?
