Doe anyone know of any legal ways to do this. Based on the specs of the PD board, one should be able to run both cameras off of the 5v regulated output. Would this be against the rules?
I’m inspecting at a couple of regionals this year and I don’t see a rule explicitly outlawing it. You would need to use a terminal strip possibly because normally only one wire can be in any one WAGO connector.
I’ll let some of the more veteran inspectors comment as well but I don’t see why this would be a illegal.
If you’re using this method to power your camera, this is the wrong way to do so. The supplied converter is designed specifically for use with the DAP-1522, and as such has a output current to correspond with its specs. It would be unwise to run the camera off one that hasn’t been checked to correspond to the camera’s input power specs.
