Powering a Jetson Nano

My team is attempting to use a Jetson Nano on the robot this year and we aren’t certain how to power it. This is the only advice I could find so far. Does anyone have any other advice on how to power it? We are trying to use this for running our image processing.

@marshall will have more information on this but his team has posted this nifty resource for using the Jetson Nano:

They used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GJ0SC2C/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_9zBtDb91WSFJW for their tile runner project.

At this moment we plan on using the following hoping it’ll give us a bit more margin for brownouts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NTXSJHB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For more information about this. The Voltage Regulator’s input is from the Power Distribution Board. The output is the 2.1 connector on 18 gage wire.

I tried smaller wire (24 gage I think) but the Nano would brown out. Then the jumper is installed.

Do the things in the paper. If you need help then email support@team900.org and we will assist you however we can.

Have fielded about a dozen Nano questions this season already.
