Prayers and Well Wishes for FIRST Kids

I know that this may sound a little bit strange, but this evening, I just got another e-mail. Team 67 (the HOT Team) now has/will be having in the very near future, two students in the hospital. Both of these boys will be/are in on fairly severe issues, though at this time, I’m not sure if I’m at liberty to elaborate on them. I would like to ask that those on the Chief Delphi forums please come together as a FIRST family and just say a little prayer for each of the boys. Thank you, ahead of time, so much for your time and thoughts.

I would like to send my best wishes to these two members and I hope that they make a full recovery soon …

i will be thinking about them …

Well, pass along my wishes to get well soon.

Just remember my physics teacher’s first rule: Do not die. (Do it, and you get a warning. Cuss people out just beforehand, and you get thirty minutes of detention after school.)

I can’t say i really know the HOT team very well, but at nationals i did have a short conversation with one of the mentors and he seemed very nice. Although I don’t know a lot about the HOT team, everything I do know has impressed me. From their amazing robot, to their exceptional teamwork in the heat of competition, right down to their cool little jalapeno key chains.

i’m really sorry to hear that a member of this, or any FIRST team, has been hospitalized. I know how the rest of the team must feel - my coach, Mr. Cokeley, had a stroke during this past season.

i wish the best of luck to the victims, their families, and the entire HOT team.

It’s not strange at all, Beth. I will definitely keep these boys in my prayers. Keep us posted on their progress okay? I’d love to know how they are doing every so often.

It is a great shame that anyone is hospitalized, from first or not from first.
So hope they recover/getwell soon

My best wishes and prayers for the 2, I wish they have a speedy recovery and get back to normal:)

I tuely know the love and support that the CD community has to share…

The power of prayer is amazing, my best wishes to the both of them on their individual journeys.

I would also like to send my prayers and best wishes to the 2 members of Team 67 currently being hospitalized. My best advice: just have faith.

 Its really sad when something like this happens, especialy to people on FIRST. They’ll both be in my prayers and I’ll tell as many of my team mates as i can to do the same. I hope they have a speedy recovery.

I will be praying for them both and thier families, and hope that thier recoveries are quick.

It is very awfull to see friends, families, or just people come down with an illness. I hope the two members of the HOT team know that we are all behind them in this very hard time. Best wishes to their families and best wishes to them: that they may have a speedy recovery.
My prayers are with them!!

Well wishes to them!!!

Thank you all so much for your prayers and wishes! Ashley Weed gave me a great suggestion that I think I’ll follow through with. When I get home (I’m out of the state right now) I plan to take all of the wishes posted in this thread and print out a copy for each boy. I hope that it will soothe their minds and help them towards a speedy recovery. Thank you all again!

Good Luck and Speedy Recovery! it was a great time being with you guys at Buckeye and Nationals, the SparX team will pray for them.

I hope the two members of HOT get well soon and be able to go home. My prayers are with them. Just remember that not only all of us here on CD, but all of us involved with FIRST, are like one big family. Beth, please keep us updated also.
