Denver’s East High School, home of team 1339, is on the process of constructing a new engineering and robotics center to be opened for the 2015-2016 school year. We will have two flexible classroom spaces, manufacturing equipment, and a 1/2 FRC playing field. We will soon begin the process of hiring a second full time teacher for the expanding department, and I wanted to tap CD as a prime resource. If you are interested, here is what we are looking for:
- licensed teacher, who either already has a colorado license or can get one
- credentialling in a STEM field
- experience in PLTW, or willingness to train during the summer to teach IED, DE, and Aerospace courses
- experience in FIRST, especially FRC
- willingness to serve as a coach alongside two other teachers with an FRC team
- willing to work in a large, diverse, center-city school
