Pre-Scouting of all Divisions

I created a google doc earlier today for the curie division to get data on the teams in the division along with photos of each robot.

I have now created one for each division, I have filled out some of the information on some of the teams that I know off hand to give an idea of how this works. I have also filled in all of the OPR and triple balance information. Feel free to fill in any missing information and fix any incorrect data.

Curie Division
Galileo Division
Archimedes Division
Newton Division

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to jblay again.

Thanks for organizing this, Joe! See you next week bud.

I hope these help teams specifically with knowledge on robot dimensions, Thursday is going to be a rough day and hopefully this helps make it easier for some people.

I’m pretty excited to be on Curie with you Stogi, hopefully we get a match with your team at some point.

Awesome. Awesome Awesome Awesome. Thanks so much for this, you’re the best :).

Hey Joe, I know this may be a lot of work but, any chance you can throw into the spreadsheets the team names and average OPR?

It may be helpful as I know that I often can’t remember a team number but the name jumps out to me.

This is great! where did the data come from?

By bridge balance assister, the primary device for this is a stinger. 1501’s platform is also included. Just as a general question, should anything that aids balancing be counted? My specific notions are to drive brakes and a swerve drive being able to shift their wheels perpendicular to the bridge to avoid sliding.

Thoughts?

One other thing that might be worth noting is that some robots (see 4334 and 4001) are significantly shorter than a wide robot at ~21". Perhaps they could be labelled under-size bot.

Thanks for posting this, I know what I’ll be doing later this afternoon.

I tried editing it yesterday, but it didn’t seem for it to work. Don’t you have to share the document with specific people to allow them to edit it? Or is it public?

Thanks again!

Also, some long bots (like us) aren’t the full 38 inches. Perhaps add a collumn for actual dimensions? Either way, thank you for this.

You just have to make sure you sign into Google Docs with a Google/Gmail account. The sign-in link is usually in the upper right of the shared google doc.

If you have something like that you should just put a note on there to explain it. If you are a different dimension I would attach the note to the dimension part of the sheet. If you have some sort of weird assister like brakes you should put that you have an assiter with a note as to what makes it different.

I am fine with including these things if it is wanted but I would like it if the people that want the data can throw it in. This is supposed to be a collaboration so I leave to the CD world to add what they think is needed. I worry a bit that team names will make the spreadsheet cluttered however.

For OPR rank I used the adjusted rank on the 2834 scouting database. I’m not sure if this is the most popular one to use but it’s just the one that I like for this year.

Any additional notes teams wish to add can be put here:

Galileo
Curie
Newton
Archimedes

These features already exist in each spreadsheet by clicking the alternate document on the bottom right of the screen.

just FYI it says you need permission to access. request sent by me

Thank you to whoever put in the search function in the Newton sheet. I have added it to the others.

My apologies, they have all been fixed.

I have changed it so that it is now just a note sheet, still sorted by rank. The info displayed has not been changed, just the title. By putting notes here the originals can remain organized and notes are there for scouts to look at.

EDIT: fixed my previous post to reflect the changes.

EDIT: Archimedes also has a team # sorted version, but I could not figure out how to link the two sheets at this late (Early?) hour. If someone could do that to this document as well as the others it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! Stuypulse! might want to add to your DB. 195 HAS a bridge balancing device (stinger)
Thanks for the great Data!

It’s up to you to update data that you see is off. This is a collaboration.

I would like to say thanks for this… it’s very useful.

And whoever, put cursed in the title of the Curie division spreadsheet… well-played.:stuck_out_tongue:
