The Jackson Area Career Center, in Jackson, Michigan is looking to fill their Precision Machining / CAM Technology Instructor position. We are home to Team 2611, the Jacktown Vectors, and we just finished as a 5th seed and 4th alliance captain in Archimedes in our first time at St. Louis. The link to the position job details is attached:

If you do apply, please send me a pm and if you want I can send you the link to the union contract so you can see where you would be on the payscale, but the normal caveats apply and salary will be commensurate with experience. I’m the Pre-Engineering Instructor at the school and will be working closely with whomever fits the position, so do not hesitate to ask questions!
The Jackson Area Career Center has two shifts, an AM and PM shift, and all junior and seniors in the county are eligible to leave their school for a half day (2 to 2.5 hours per shift) to attend the career center. We have approximately 1300 students that attend the career center annually, but class sizes are kept small (22-24 students per shift) for safety reasons and to help with the student’s learning. Also with this position, there is an instructional assistant that works in the classroom to help teach the students and ensure that they are working safely with the machinery. Please see the attached photos of our lab which includes multiple Bridgeport Mills, multiple Lathes, HAAS CNC mill, and HAAS CNC lathe, MAZAK CNC lathe, grinders, wet and dry cut off saws, multiple drill presses, and a fanuc robot cell.
My students took some pictures of the lab and I have uploaded those to this folder: https://goo.gl/VIi8oH
It does include pictures of our practice field also, so you can see what we have to offer.
As I said before, send me a message on here if you or someone you know is interested and I can give you/them more information! Thanks for taking the time to read this!
