Hey guys i’m from a rookie team, and something that make me curious is the fact that the neo motors have circular torque outputs. How do I attach gears to it in a way that I can be 100% sure that they won’t come off?
There are two ways to attach gears to the neo
One is a key in the slot on the rounded output shaft (This is the most common way to attach gears)
The other is using press fit pinion gears shown here

If you are referring to the regular NEOs, you can use keystock in the shaft, plus a press fit thing that I dont know the name of. That holds things on pretty well. There is also in the 1.1 versions a threaded shaft end, which can be used as well to limit horizontal travel.
For the Neo 550, you can use a press fit pinion, or a clamping shaft adapter, several companies will give you one with a gearbox.
And the Vortex you have plenty of options
