Problems Connecting Target in 3.3

When attempting to connect to the target server on my robot, i get 91% of the way there before an error appears:

Problems Connecting Target

Step finished with this error: CPU: PPC603 is not licensed

Target Context VxWorks_10.10.73.2@WIN-PQHBGGVU39B
Target Connect Strategy: Wind River VxWorks Target Connect Strategy
Connect Step: Connect DFW

Target Communication Protocol: TCP/IP
Target IP Address: 10.10.73.2
Target Port: 0x4321

I am trying to connect via ethernet cable into my robot’s radio.
I can Deploy and Undeploy but cannot debug.
I’m using Wind River 3.3 with new WPILib uptdate.
I would really like to be able to debug with WindRiver, so all the advice i could get would be greatlly apreciated.

Does the error go away if you explicitly select MPC5200 as the target?

What is that number? and where do i input it?

My team is also having this issue, flashed with v43.

Try reinstalling WindRiver. Installed 3.0.1 (Disk 1) DO NOT OPEN when completed. Uncheck to open when Setup is closed.

If your on a 64 bit version of Windows 7 or XP (You can check by Right Clicking Computer and going to Properties, it will say weather Windows is 32 or 64 Bit)

Install 3.3 (Disk 2) ONLY on a 64 bit OS, Else do not install it. DO NOT open WindRiver until the correct software is installed (32 bit only 3.0.1, 64 bit both 3.0.1 and 3.3) If you open windriver before 3.3 is installed, you will get the error you are having.

You need to manually select 5200 as the target, NOT 5200B or automatic.

The docs are misleading for 32-bit Windows 7. In one place it seemed to say 3.3 was for all Win 7 and 64-bit XP.

On our 32-bit computer, we installed both 3.0.1 and 3.3 twice, being careful the 2nd time to not launch 3.0. Still had the problem. The 3rd time, we installed the first disk only (3.0.1), and now have a working computer.

The 64-bit computer still has the error. Is anyone able to run WindRiver 3.3 on 64-bit Windows 7?

When setting up the target connection, be sure that you press the “Select…” button in the “backend settings panel”, then select MPC5200. See the attached image for help.
