We are trying to change from arcade drive to tank drive is there anyone who can show us an example or anywhere we can find an example of a program in Labview to do this. We have tried several different things including: creating a Joystick 2, adding elements, and changing the USB #.
There should be a sample program called Tank Drive Example. On the getting started window when you first open lab-view look in the lower right and you’ll find examples. Click “more” at the bottom. Then scroll down until you find the example. If you have any questions, please ask.
labview + windows vista?
ouch
There is actually a tank drive subVI already in LabView this year. If you go to the Function Pallette and go to WPI Robotics>Robot Drive, there is a Tank Drive subVI there. All you have to do is input the left and right axis, and then input the devref from an Open 2 Motors subVI (same pallette) instead of a from a single motor.
If you have any LabView questions, feel free to ask me.
