Progress Update

Although at the current rate we will not be able to make a quality and stable release by the end of the day (as was originally planned), the code base for some modules has been approved and is expected to remain stable until the next release (and have been fully reviewed by at least one developer after coding has been completed).

The modules currently include:

Awards
Feedback
Guestbook
Members
News
Logger
Emoticon

At the moment, Base is in a state of consistant upgrading and change. This is expected to change soon and Base will settle down. Over the long term, it is supposed to be one of the most stable modules, as all of the other modules depend on it for vital functions, and are inoperable without it.

All other modules are either unstable, or require upgrades to core functionality before the next release.

I will be reviewing the modules which are relatively stable tonight, hopefully completing the process for tomorrow. Also, a note to beta testers, for the time being Source Forge.net is running anonymous pserver access to CVS off of the backup servers, this means that any data you retrieve or view using this method may be up to 24 hours delayed from the actual progress of openFIRST.

Just an update to this: We were able to release openFIRST Version 1.0.0 today, after programming in many bug fixes and functionality improvements. This release is leaps and bounds ahead of 0.02, as even the numbering scheme has changed.

If anyone would like to test this version, or provide input for future versions, feel free to contact any member of the development team (or post here, of course).
