Prototype FRC Chile

Hello Look our prototype

Thank you!!:yikes:

Nice progress!

FAILS Inspection !!!

You have 5 CIM motors. Only 4 are allowed.

You don’t need 2 CIMs per transmission. That power output is quite likely to exceed your ability to transfer it through those wheels onto the ground.

Even if 5 CIMs were allowed you only have 3 Jaguars. The has to be a one to one correspondence between each CIM and Jaguar.

If you remove 1 each CIM from each transmission then you will be ready to pass inspection.

Other than that things look great. How does your kicker work ?

Good Luck !!

that would mean you fail are reading the manual this year you can have 5 CIMs on your robot :stuck_out_tongue:

<R52> Motors specifically permitted on 2010 FRC ROBOTS include:
A. All motors, actuators, and servos listed in the 2010 KOP,
B. An unlimited number of COTS servos with a maximum output torque of 55 oz-in and maximum rotational speed of 100 rpm at 6 Vdc (e.g. HITEC model HS-322HD or HS-325HB servos, as provided in the KOP),
C. An unlimited number of FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) servos (HITEC HS-475HB servos),
D. One, two, or three additional 2½” CIM motors (part #FR801-001 and/or M4-R0062-12) in addition to those provided in the KOP. This means that up to five, and no more, 2½” CIM motors can be used on the ROBOT.

oh yeah

you can use 5 cims, on the robot

you are using 2 cim motors for each wheel, your main intention is to have a wonderfull torch?

have you tried with 1 cim motor for each wheel???

the robot looks great, specially, because it can pass easily on the bumps

thats good

go teams

I stand corrected - epic fail on the motor count !! My humble apologies.

But the jag count is still wrong.

Mmmm, 5 CIMs, seriously interesting…

Ed

Hooola hermanos latiino americanos!!

I wish a good luck to you guys in LA this year.
Nice kicker, but, you must be agree with me: ValdĂvia, El mago, kicks muuuch better!!! hahahaha

No, their is four Jag the other one is near the brain. you can see it in the video when the robot is coming down the bump.

The Jag rule he was talking about was having one Jag run two motor.

there’s also victors

“EPIC FAIL” I say as I walk off in total defeat !!!

We it is good that everyone has had a close look and got this team out of inspection.

I see other potential inspection issues. In the video of the robot going over the bump, stop it at 5 seconds. It looks like the wheels are outside the FRAME PERIMETER. Certainly the kicker is outside the FRAME PERIMETER, as are parts of the foam padding.

Looking good my friends! I like the kicker, simple and effective.
Nice call Gary.

We do have to remember the title of the article. Prototype is in there. So it would appear the proto is working, now on to the competition version.

We agree jajajjajaj Valdivia is one of the best soccer player for this worl:yikes: d cup

Thanks for the replays

:yikes:

Okay okay, this is a true fact!!!

Buuuuuuut, Kaka and Luis Fabiano (ex soccer players of SĂŁo Paulo) will destroy in the world cup this year!!!

What ratio are you running on your toughbox mounted to the kicker ? The standard 12.75 : 1 or something else ?
