PSA: Daylight savings during week 2

Just wanted to remind folks that on the Sunday of week 2 we’ll be springing forward our clocks by an hour. Make sure to get plenty of sleep, and if you’re awake to see the hour change on your clock you’re up to late. Also wan to ensure that no one misses their first match due to their clocks being off

Yeah, I always have a fun time at Waterbury telling other volunteers that it’s a long weekend on one’s feet, even though technically the weekend is an hour shorter than most.

The lack of sleep combined with the 3 hour drive from Pine Tree and starting a new term the next morning where my first class is an 8am… not looking forward to this one.

Yep, just got off the phone with Royal Excursion. We are leaving at 3:00 am on Sunday morning and the bus driver was scheduled to show up at 2:30 am, but there is no 2:30 am. Soooo… that was a fun phone conversation lol. I’m very concerned about students showing up at the wrong time, but I figure worst case scenario they’ll show up an hour early.

Replace your Fire alarm batteries, be careful driving on Monday morning as that is when most accidentals occur after “spring ahead”

This is how our discussion about getting on the bus this Sunday went in class yesterday. I needed visuals aids lol

Amazingly for us, it was the night before driving to LAX for the early morning flight back to Hawaii for the offseason event we did in Fall 2021.
This Sunday, we have to do the exact same thing from the same area, right after the ventura regional.
The DST would have messed us up if we didn’t know.

Make sure if you are taking a bus that you coordinate with your bus driver and their mandatory sleep time! If you get back super late Saturday, they may not have enough of a break to pick you up Sunday morning.

We’ve decided to drive back Saturday night after Oklahoma this year about 5 hours, so we’ve tried having everyone aware that the arrival time might be later if they change clocks.

Turkiye: :ghost:

(No daylight savings here!)
